HC Packaging became part of RLB Packaging on 5 January 2026. RLB is a New Zealand family-owned packaging business that has been operating for more than 105 years. We supply packaging, machinery and service to customers across the country, and we are committed to keeping strong local support in the Nelson and Marlborough regions.

 

HC Packaging was established in 2008 by Hugh Cotterell who has more than 40 years’ experience in the packaging industry. Hugh will continue to work in the business as part of RLB Packaging which means customers will keep dealing with the people they know.

 

Our approach is simple. We do what we say we will do. We hold local stock in Nelson, and we make regular visits to Marlborough and the West Coast so customers can get what they need without delay. That local service will continue, supported by the wider RLB Packaging range and national warehousing.
